Lorna Trudgeon
Senior Centre Manager

Designated Safeguarding and Prevent Lead. Designated Person for Children in Care. Promoting Positive Behaviour Coordinator. Paediatric First Aid Trained.
Lorna has a wealth of experience with supporting children and their families across all age ranges. Lorna has a BA(Hons) in Early Childhood Education, a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies, a Playwork Diploma and has Early Years Teacher Status. She has worked at Oasis since 2001 and was previously the Manager of Ludgvan Community Centre. As a previous member of Ludgvan Parish Council she values and appreciates the importance of strong working partnerships within our local community.
Lorna enjoys spending quality time with her family, watching her son play a wide range of sports and walking our beautiful coastal paths.
Juliette George
Senior Deputy Manager

She has experience working with babies, toddlers, pre-school and kid’s club, and has a CACHE level 4 in Childcare and Education. Juliette returned to Oasis in 2009 after having a gap year to spend time with her family.

Briony has experience working with toddlers, pre-school and kid’s club. She has a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies, a BA(Hons) in Early Childhood Education and has Early Years Teacher Status. She has been at Oasis since leaving college in 2008.
Briony enjoys walking and spending time with her family and friends.
Holly Empson

Hannah has experience working with young children. She has a level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care. Hannah has been at Oasis since 2014 and prior to this she worked at Chy an Albany Hotel.

Jo Murton

Georgia Harvey

Hannah Stafford
Nursery Room Supervisor

Hannah has a foundation degree in Early Childhood Education and a BA (Hons) in Education and Training (Level 6). She has 9 years Montessori experience working with toddlers/pre-school. Hannah has been at Oasis since 2021.

In her spare time she enjoys anything creative including baking, arts and crafts, being active outside and discovering new places to explore.
Olivia Wallis
Nursery Room Supervisor

Olivia has experience working with toddlers and pre-school children. She has a CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education. Olivia has been at Oasis since 2021, prior to this she was a student who completed her work placement with us.

Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay has experience working with babies, toddlers, pre-school and kid’s club. She has a CACHE level 4 in Childcare and Education, and a NVQ level 3 in Playwork. Lindsay has been at Oasis since its creation in 1996 and previously worked as a farm hand.

Chloe Winterbottom

Karenza Bailey

Karenza has experience working with babies, toddlers and pre-school. She has an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Childrens Care, Learning and Development. Karenza has been with Oasis since 2018 and previously worked as a Nursery Assistant at Marazion Childrens Centre.

Karenza enjoys dog walking, rugby, gardening and generally having fun.
Stacy George

Stacy has a Level 3 Early Years Educator. Stacy has been at Oasis since 2019 and previously worked at Trevaylor Nursing Home for 7 years as a care assistant.

Nicky has over 30 years’ experience working within various Customer Based roles. Nicky has been at Oasis since 2022 and is working towards a Level 2 qualification in Early Years.
In her spare time Nicky enjoys walking her puppy, Darcy, spending quality time with her family and socialising with friends. Nicky also enjoys cooking, reading and watching cookery programmes.
Simmy Devine
Nursery Assistant

Simmy has experience working with babies, toddlers, pre-school and children with additional needs. She has a level 4 in Childcare and Education. Simmy has 8 years previous experience working at Oasis and returned in 2022, after spending 7 years working at a local Primary School as a 1:1 support worker.

Simmy enjoys spending time outdoors with her children and her friends, going on cliff walks and swimming. She also loves films, reading and writing poetry.
Kim Williams

Kim is a Nursery Assistant and has experience working with babies, toddlers and pre-school. She has a level 3 in Childcare and Education. Kim has been at Oasis since 2023. She previously worked as a Baby Room Leader at a local nursery and as a Teaching Assistant in local primary schools.

Rose Wheeler

Rose is currently a Nursery Assistant and has experience working with young children. She has been at Oasis since 2023 and is working towards a Level 3 qualification in Early Years. Prior to this she worked as a teaching assistant at Ludgvan School.
In her spare time Rose enjoys textiles, painting, drawing and spending time outdoors.

Archie Rutterford

Archie is a Nursery Assistant and has over 10 years experience working with children aged 4 -16 years. He has a BA in Early Years Education Studies and a Level 3 Advanced Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner. Archie has been at Oasis since 2024. He has previously worked as an Early Years Teaching Assistant at a local primary school.

In his spare time Archie enjoys playing football and is currently a player and Manager for Mullion FC 2nd team. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and going for walks in our Cornish countryside.

Kelly is currently a Nursery Assistant and is working towards a Level 2 qualification in Early Years. Kelly joined Oasis in October 2024 and prior to this she worked at the Alverne in Penzance.

In her spare time, Kelly enjoys teaching Line dance fitness classes, and spending time with her family and friends.
Sally Humphreys
Nursery Assistant

Sally is currently a Nursery Assistant and has an NVQ level 3 in Early Education & Childcare. She began her involvement in Early Years in 1997 on St Mary's in the Isles of Scilly. Since 2018 Sally has been working at the nursery at Falmouth University, initially in the Baby Room & latterly in the Pre-school Room. Sally joined Oasis in 2024.

In her spare time Sally loves to travel both in the UK & overseas & loves exploring in her Camper Van.
Joanne Hackett

Joanne is a Nursery assistant, having completed her Degree in Professional Practice- Education. Joanne has been at Oasis since 2024, having decided to work in Early Years.

Jo is our Forest School Leader and also works in our Pre-School. Jo has always had a keen interest for nature and thoroughly enjoys outdoor cooking. She has been at Oasis since 2016.

Katherine Hall
Administrative Assistant

Katherine is an Administrative Assistant and has been in education for 12 years, with a focus on SEND and Inclusive practice. Katherine has been at Oasis since 2024.

In her spare time Katherine enjoys sailing & being by the sea, and spending time with her family at the park and exploring the outdoors.
Sabina Kent

Sabina has 8 years experience working within the banking sector. Sabina has been at Oasis since 2019.
In her spare time Sabina enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog, and staying fit and active through crossfit.
Suzanne Kemp
Centre Domestic Operator

Suzanne also works as a lunchtime supervisor at Ludgvan School. She has a City and Guilds qualification in Customer Service. Suzanne has been at Oasis since 2013 and prior to this she worked at Penwith College until leaving to raise her family.

Neville Goodspeed
Centre Handyman

Neville has been at Oasis since 2010 and has previously worked as a Mechanical Engineer, Market Garden Manager and Property Developer.
Neville has an interest in most sports.
Aaron Wilson
Technology Consultant

Aaron is our Centre’s Technology Consultant. With over 15 years’ experience in the Ed Tech environment Aaron has supported Nurseries, Schools, Colleges and Universities. He is currently the Lead Consultant for NUTECH South West, supporting schools and businesses across Cornwall.
Aaron enjoys spending quality time with his young family, with a passion for technology, Coffee, surfing and fitness. Aaron also was previously a Volunteer for the Cornwall Search and Rescue Service.
