Entry to School

Entry to school

*Children are able to enter School in the Autumn term after their fourth birthday. All children start full time in the September.

The Oasis Pre-School has a very good working relationship with Ludgvan, Marazion, St Hilary, Gulval, Bodriggy and many other Primary Schools in the local area. During the summer term, Pre-School staff regularly liaise with the parents and individual Reception Class teachers to discuss provision for The Foundation Stage and to plan joint activities such as trips in the summer term and transition into school. The individual Reception class teachers are encouraged to visit the children at Oasis throughout the summer term, which helps build children's confidence and is reassuring for them when they make the transition into school.

Please note that attending a school’s nursery does not guarantee your child a place at that school – you still need to apply. The criteria in the school’s admission arrangements will be used to allocate places. Admission to school reception classes are allocated by the Local Authority. If you need any help with completing your child’s application either online or a paper copy, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the Management Team. We are always on hand to help!

Alternatively, you can contact the Family Information Service on 0800 587 8191 who will also support you with your application.
