Data Protection

Please use this area to find all the nessesary information regarding our Data Protection and GDPR compliance.

WHAT IS GDPR?

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the new European Union privacy law, approved in 2016 jointly by European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission.

GDPR replaced the existing European Data Protection Directive (which came into the picture in 1995), on May 25, 2018 and all the laws attached to data protection will now be governed by GDPR.

GDPR aims to bring all the EU member states under one umbrella by enforcing a single data protection law. GDPR is intended to put guidelines and regulations on how data is processed, used, stored or exchanged.

BUT WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO US?

Oasis Childcare Centre takes Privacy and Data Protection very seriously, and have been working hard with our advisors over the last few months to ensure that we are complient with the new regulations. As part of this work we have updated not only our Main Data Protection Policy but also our Privacy Policies to give you transparency on how we manage personal data. We want all of our parents to be aware of these changes and to know that we are GDPR compliant.

Please be aware that these documents will be updated regularly over the next few weeks, Any questions please don't hesitate to contact our DPO - Briony Sedgman.
